On Fuse’s 50th release, Fragoso returns to Ray Mono’s Sugar Ray Robinson with two remixes tested and refined over the last two years on dancefloors.
Built from the same rhythmic and harmonic foundation, the Longcut and Shortcut travel together until a pivotal transition marked by a bold flanger sweep, one of the defining moments of the record.
From there, the Longcut unfolds into a mellow, sweet journey inspired by the deep house sensibility of early-2000s Portuguese dancefloors, while the Shortcut remains focused on groove and momentum, driven by a hypnotic interplay of chords, vocals and rhythm.
Blending tribal influences with a contemporary electro edge, these remixes reinforce Fragoso’s vision of house underground.
